Jazmín Harvey is a Latinx director and cinematographer from Las Cruces, New Mexico. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Jazmín’s path into the film industry began at the ACLU of Southern California, where she created short documentaries on the School-to-Prison Pipeline and the homeless crisis in Orange County. In 2017, she moved to Albuquerque and joined the International Cinematographers Guild. Jazmín has a wide range of experience in multiple departments, and is passionate about both narrative and documentary film. Her cinematography projects include: Seeds (short), Mother’s Day (short), Upstream Downriver (documentary), Abuelas Food Kitchen (documentary), among others. In addition to her work as a cinematographer, Jazmín worked as a camera assistant on projects such as Dark Winds (AMC), The Harder They Fall (Netflix), Outer Range (Amazon), and Unpregnant (HBO).

In 2016, Jazmín co-founded Femme Frontera, a film collective dedicated to empowering women and non-binary filmmakers in the El Paso border region, and served as its Programming Director from 2016-2021. In 2022, she was the artist in residence at the Border Arts Residency in El Paso, Texas. During this time, Jazmín used her gallery space to host bi-monthly queer movie nights where she would moderate Q&A's and created a safe, creative community space for LGBTQIA folx on the border.

She is currently developing her first feature documentary, which traces the interpersonal impacts of the border wall in El Paso, TX and Cd. Juarez, Mexico.
